The purpose of a historic-genetic.reconnaissance for unexploded ordnance is:

  • to reconstruct and describe the historic utilizationand historic occurences that could have led to a possible unexploded ordnance contamination,
  • to describe the potential UXO-contamination in a spatial and genetic way,
  • to determine the potential costs for survey and clearance if necessary


All available sources, e.g. aerial images, documentation of act of war, as well as information about the geological setup and all relevant information are taken into account.

Multi-temporal analysis of aerial photographs of the war period until today:

The analysis includes the multi-temporal photogrammetric-digital mapping and the interpretation of the study area in detail, including field inspections.
